How to Market Your Business Through Video

If you own a business, there’s a great chance that you are aware of your direct competitors. For the most part, these competitors won’t be going away — even if one “closes up shop” it’s only a matter of time until a new business/competitor comes into your market space. With that being said, we believe that video content is one of the most cost-effective and impactful ways to market your business. More specifically, through strategic storytelling.

Create and Share

Your video content doesn’t always have to be epic. However, it does need to have a clear and intentional message that will convert a customer instantly or over time. Additionally, don’t be afraid to try new things. Once you discover what kind of content works for your business, stick with it and fine-tune that process — you want to be as consistent as possible (don’t try to do it all). Because social media “feed space” is competitive, we suggest publishing content (static or video) at least 3 times a week.

Examples

Below you will find two videos that integrate storytelling and intentional messaging. Additionally, we’re sharing a social media account that does an incredible job of posting consistent video content that yields huge results.
The auto industry as we all know is heavily saturated. In order to stand out and differentiate, you need to let people know why your product is the best choice. In this example, Audi does just that.
Because TBC was an integral part of the launch of this campaign, we can’t help but give it more love. Currently, rural cities across the US are heavily competing to attract remote workers to their areas. In order for these initiatives to be successful, you need to tell/show individuals why your town is worth moving to. Shout out to the team at Aaron Peterson Studios for delivering this epic anthem video for Make it Marquette
Collective member and artist, Jason Limberg, does an incredible job at consistently posting video content that not only tells a story but also “hooks” the viewers within the first 5 seconds. Again, creating video content doesn’t always have to cost tons of money or require high-end gear. Check out his incredible content (here).
